As a student and member of DM, you get the most attractive student account in the country. DM has an agreement with Lån og Spar Bank that enables you, as a student, to get the best rates on both a line of credit and a current account. You'll also avoid virtually all fees, including cash point withdrawal fees when you use your Visa/Dankort at any cash point in Denmark.

How to get Denmark's best student account — with 3% interest and an affordable line of credit

  • You'll earn 3% interest on the first 20,000 DKK in your current account. 0% on the remainder
  • Choose a line of credit up to 50,000 DKK Pay just 5% in interest
  • Student savings with 0.05% interest on savings
  • Free: Visa/Dankort and Mastercard with the same PIN, currency exchange, cash point withdrawals in Denmark, online banking, mobile banking, and budget assistance.

The fine print

To get the best student account Denmark has to offer, you must consolidate all your personal finances at Lån og Spar Bank and be a member of DM. You'll earn 3% interest on the first 20,000 DKK. 0% on the remainder. Approval for the student account is subject to a standard credit check. You can keep your student account for up to 3 years after finishing your education.

If you use your full 50,000 DKK line of credit, you will pay 625 DKK in fees after three months. 0 DKK opening costs, borrowing rate (var.) 5.09%, 5.09% APR. Amount owed after three months: 50,625 DKK. Credit remains valid for an indefinite period, without fixed instalments. All rates are variable and are current as of 9 May 2019.
